Hi guys, it's Tyler here.

It's just the tip of the iceberg.

The HMBoys.com Hotwires page, I mean.

Every week we get far more e-mails than we can handle.

And, as you'd expect, there's one type of e-mail we get quite a lot of.

The ones from guys who write asking us to put them in touch with one - or even two or three at once! - of the HMBoys.

Of course, as we've explained here before, that's something we don't do.

'Cos, believe me, if we were in the habit of dishing out our boys' phone numbers or addresses, they wouldn't be too happy about it.

After all, lots of them still live with their folks and aren't out of the closet yet - or, let's be honest, may not even be gay - so they don't find the thought of some strange guy turning up on the doorstep or calling up and getting to talk to mom, too appealing.

But a few weeks ago we had an e-mail that made us think twice.

The guy who wrote to us said he had some cash that he was looking to invest - and, in spite of everything we've heard and read about the dot.com boom'n'bust, he still thought there was a good return to be made from investing in adult internet sites.

Well, when the boss heard that he wanted to set up a meeting real quick. He's always got lots of ideas about developing the site and is always saying what he'd like to do if only he had the cash.

And then he had one of his ideas.

"You can go meet this guy, Tyler", he said.

"If he's gay, you'll probably be able to persuade him better than I could to put in a big stake."

That's just what I was worried about, of course.

I've got enough guys wanting to put big stakes into me as it is.

And, funnily enough, when the meeting was set up our would-be investor decided that he would send a representative along too.

His boyfriend.

Conner.

Our meeting place will give you an idea of the sort of people we were dealing with.

Most boys of Conner's age choose to meet us in bars (whether because to a naïve young 18 year old that's the height of sophistication or whether they need some alcohol inside them to go through with it, I don't know).

But not Conner.

We met up with him at the local country club.

On, of all things, the golf course.

That was just the sort of kid he was.

As the boyfriend of a guy who was just rolling in cash he had everything he wanted.

Designer clothes, fantastic food, travel around the world and the most impressive-looking car in the parking lot.

And he also quickly made it plain that he had the final say in whether we'd get the money.

Thankfully Conner soon also made it plain that there was a way that I might be able to influence him to be… err… friendly to HMBoys.

'Cos he'd decided that he wanted to be more than friendly to me.

Subtlety, I've gotta say, wasn't his strong point.

And he must have thought I was a golf fan because he took the first opportunity to give me a good look at his splendid oversized putter - it sure looked an expensive model…

And it came with a particular fine set of golf balls too…

Of course, having the best quality sports equipment isn't going to be enough on its own to make you Tiger Woods, Ernie Ells or David Duvall.

You've got to have good technique too.

And Conner certainly had a first class stroke…

Of course, Conner and I were supposed to be talking business.

And that's best done over a drink, don't you think?

Much to my surprise, though, it wasn't in the clubhouse bar but in his golf buggy that Conner offered me one - or, to be more accurate, a choice of two drinks…

And what was the outcome of all this?

Well, you win some - you lose some.

The boss didn't get his money…

But I had one of the best games in my life that afternoon.

Because, needless to say, I also ended up with a very fine example of a hole in one…
