One naked boy is, you might think, much like any other naked boy, whether he's just been plucked off the street today or dates from 60 year ago or more. But many of us do seem to like that vintage look when supposedly innocent young "bodybuilders" posed in see-through pouches, surprisingly often costumed as Roman legionary and set against the background of a couple of Greek columns put there to add an air of classical respectability. The next few sets of photographs on HMBoys won't be taking us back as far as the swords'n'sandals 1950s, but they do come from the early period of our website's history. We recently rediscovered them in our archives and realised that, for some reason, they'd never been used. Although they date from a time before digital cameras were in widespread use, the quality is more than acceptable - and, as you'll see in the weeks to come, at least one set is of real historic interest as the first ever photo shoot of a boy who went on to become one of the biggest names in gay porn. We'll start today with Jax. His photo session dates, we think, from about the year 2000 and seems to have taken place in a hotel room. We can't tell you anything about this boy other than what we can all see here. He's good looking, a classic all-American type, nicely built - but not too big - and perhaps a little on the shy side. From his reserved expression, we'd guess that he wasn't (yet?!!!) a close friend of the photographer. Maybe he'd been picked up on the street and persuaded to earn a few extra bucks with a bit of modelling work? I guess we will never know the back story... But here, for your pleasure, is Jax who, even without the Roman armour and Greek pillars, is a small reminder of a more innocent age than our own.
