Josh is a generous boy.

We knew that from the time that we spent in his company on the day of our photoshoot.

The only train of the day had brought us to Josh's home town in the morning and our return train wasn't due to take us home until late afternoon, so we had plenty of time to kill. And so when Josh invited us to join him for breakfast at a kocal cafe, we were more than happy to join him - and pretty surprised when he picked up the bill too.

After that, hoping to kill a bit more time, we went shopping with him.  Josh already has an impressive collection of skateboards but had decided that he was going to buy one more.  And, once again, we were pretty surprised to see that he didn't haggle with the seller but just seemed happy to get the goods. 

"OK, the price was a bit high", he said, "but I'll be making money from you guys this afternoon.

"So why not pay what the guy asks and make everyone happy?"

Like we said, Josh is just a real generous boy.

As you'll see in the pictures - and also in the video that we shot that afternoon - Josh loved his new board.  But later in the afternoon, once we'd paid him his agreed modelling fee, I think he realised that perhaps he should have been just a little bit more careful with his cash earlier in the day.

And that must have been why, as we were packing up our photographic gear, he approached us with a rather embarrassed and sheepish expressiuon on his face.

"Hey, guys...", he said.

"I guess there isn't any way of making just a bit more money, is there?

"I really need some, if you can manage it...  I'm sure there must be something that I can do for you."

At that point, his expression certainly wasn't sheepish any more...

Like we said, young Josh is a very generous boy.
