The trouble with the adult entertainment industry is that it's cheap - or, rather, that it's produced on the cheap.

Production values? Don't make me laugh!

Whether it's one end of the market with porno pics taken on a Polaroid in the photographer's own none-too-glamorous bedroom with the all-too-visible stains of dog pee all over the rug…

Or, at the other end, the Latino porno video epic that's supposedly set in the 16th century (Horny Conquistadors fuck and suck their way through the hot Ass-tec hordes!) - but boasts costumes looking like the nearest they've come to that part of the world is an amateur all-male production of Evita.

To be fair, one or two outfits do seem to pride themselves on putting their hump-fests on in good-looking settings. I'm thinking, for instance, of Bel Ami who flew a complete cast to the gorgeous Portuguese coast to film a hot movie (one of the Lukas's Story series, I seem to recall) rather than fake it in one of those dismal Slovakian towns that all their studs seem so eager to leave in search of fame, fortune and a good fuck.

Anyway, I reckon that high production values are the key to success in adult entertainment and although my latest commercial venture isn't in porn as such, I'm still offering the same sort of fantasy wish fulfilment.

It's called Caligula's Roman Resort and it's capitalising on the success of the movie Gladiator and the revival of interest in epic movies (there are, I'm told, new ones coming up based on the siege of Troy and the life of Alexander the Great).

Caligula's Roman Resort is a secluded, private, exclusive and, even I have to admit, very expensive European holiday location which aims to let tired business executives recharge their batteries by leading the lives - if only for a couple of weeks at a time - of Ancient Rome's aristocrats.

Among the specialised pleasures the resort offers are:

- Beautiful and obliging slave boys waiting on the guests hand and foot (not to mention other places too!)
- Luscious Roman feasts, with guests fed by their own personally selected attendants
- Mornings at the slave market, appraising and purchasing from the newest consignment of rough, newly- captured slaves - and then taking them back to your villa to begin breaking them in
- Afternoon entertainment at the arena, watching hunky young gladiators in action (some of it even involves fighting!)
- More action in the arena as badly behaved slave boys are sentenced to be "eaten" alive - but not by lions!
- Regular Roman orgies - which more than live up to their historical reputation

But, as I keep saying, a project like this needs class if it's going to work - and that means money.

Luckily I've got a backer, a retired guy with more than enough millions to invest as much as he likes - though that's, as you'd expect, on his own terms which means that he gets the full time position of Emperor.

(In the few weeks that we've been getting things up and running, I've got to say that he's turned out to be a pretty tough ruler, all too willing to sentence errant slaves to a severe lashing - though, as he's taken the name of Emperor Rimmulus, you'll no doubt have guessed that the lashing's usually carried out with the imperial tongue rather than a whip!)

Having acquired the land for the resort and modified the existing buildings to make them suitable, I'm now in the process of recruiting staff.

I've got to confess that I struck lucky early on because, in return for a lifetime's free membership, the boss of HMBoys - known at Caligula's, for obvious reasons, as Senator Succulus - agreed to pass on to me any boys he knew who were looking for work.

I've already managed to recruit one of this site's all-time favorites, Nicholas, and in the weeks to come I'll be showing off some more of my latest recruits here and letting you know generally how things are going.

But I've got to be honest. If Caligula's is going to succeed - and if Emperor Rimmulus, Senator Succulus and all the others are going to be able to continue having fun - then we're going to need some of you guys out here too as paying guests real soon.

So enjoy the showcase now as I reveal to you the first of our slave boys who's waiting eagerly here to please you in every way.

He came to us as an uncouth barbarian from Eastern Europe named Waylan. But as there's no W or Y in the civilised Latin alphabet the Emperor took those particular letters away and renamed him in Latinised form as the slave "Alanus" - and you'll be delighted to hear that the boy more than lives up to his new name's highly appropriate final four letters.

As you will see, the full sequence of pictures documents how a boy came to us as a cocky 21st century young man and was gradually transformed, over the course of the full 166 pictures, into a humble, completely naked and subservient slave whose only role in life is to meet your every requirement and fulfil your ever desire and whim.
