And this week's lesson's a particularly useful one, I think.

Just how do you get a straight boy to take his clothes off for you?

That's a challenge that I guess most of us have faced at some time.

The big advantage we have is that most straight boys don't think anything of flashing their goodies in front of other guys.

After all, they grow up doing it, don't they?

In the school locker room (oooh!), at the gym (OOOH!) and at the baths (OOOH!)

But the problem we have is that, while they don't have a problem letting it all hang loose in front of their own like-minded buddies, it can be a different matter altogether if they know you're gay.

For crissakes - even if they look like nothing so much as an elephant's rear end, they'll still assume that you're desperate to get into their pants.

So what's the way to crack the problem?

Well, at HMBoys we think the answer is to take it real slow, get the straight boy relaxed and comfortable and then let him make the running…

At this point you're probably thinking: it's OK for them - all the straight boys they get to see already know the score and wouldn't be visiting at all unless they knew they were expected to get their clothes off.

And, of course, that's true.

But the problem we still have with those boys is to get them to relax.

If they don't, you'll end up with a shit set of pictures that looks completely unnatural - and the following week there'll be an inbox full of your Hotwires telling us exactly that.

So, when the boy's straight just how do we get him to relax?

Over the years we've developed a way that seems to work every time.

Most boys have to travel some way to get to us, so we always suggest that they arrive the night before.

Then we take them out for a good meal (tax-deductible, of course!)

All that time we keep well off the subject of the modelling session.

And then we put them to bed - alone!

The trick then is to wake them up the next morning and to start work immediately - even while they're still in the bed.

They're usually far too groggy to think too much about what's happening and, if you just keep snapping away as they go about getting up, washing and dressing, they soon get used to the idea of the camera being there.

Of course, all the shots you're taking at this stage probably won't end up in the finished set (unless, as often happens, the boy wakes up with a boner!) - but all the time he's losing any sense of finding the camera intimidating and that'll pay off in the later sessions of the day.

When we woke our latest straight boy Cody up, he actually looked pretty good already.

And, just like I said, most fit'n'healthy 18 year olds do wake up with only one thing on their minds (though sadly, of course, it's gonna be girls.)

At first Cody looked pretty surprised when we followed him into the bathroom.

I think he was scared we were gonna snap him taking a piss or even a dump!

So when we said we just wanted pics of him in the bath, he was OK.

They turned out pretty well, I think (extra tip: don't have the water too hot or it will steam up the lens!)

Make it look as though this isn't just a straight in / straight out session.

Talk to him.

Make friends with him.

Relax him.

And shortly after that, with just a little luck - and, of course, an attractive model too - you may well end up with pictures like these…

And, after the shoot's over, you have one straight boy who just can't believe that he ever did that!
