Derek

When we were recently clearing out one of the old office desks, we got a surprise.

There, pushed right to the back of the bottom drawer, was a set of pictures that we didn't know we had.

A second set of pictures showing outdoors exhibitionist Derek, whose first outing as an HMBoy was as far back as 3 September 2001.

We're at a complete loss to imagine how these pictures got mislaid in the drawer.

The obvious answer in such circumstances would be that the shots were rejected at the time as unusable.

But that can't be the case - because it's without any doubt that they show off young Derek's considerable assets really well.

So all we can imagine is that it must have been something to do with the work experience boy who used to sit at that desk (before we had to fire him for getting just a little too friendly with the visiting models - something that we at management level would of course never do!)

Maybe he was sticky fingered?

Maybe he had a secret crush on Derek that none of us had ever suspected?

Maybe, when he was claiming to be working overtime and was alone in the office after hours, he was actually retrieving these pics from the bottom drawer and just drooling - or, in all probability, doing something far, far worse - over them (resulting, presumably, in even more sticky fingers!)

I guess now that we'll never know.

But at least, if it was him, he left these pictures behind to give us another chance to see hot young Derek strut his stuff in front of our inquisitive lens.

And for that, I think you'll agree, we ought to be very grateful.
