And another thing you wanted to see on the HMBoys site was some more all-American boys.

That's not so easy.

OK, we could get you the same Miami disco bunnies that you see almost everywhere else these days.

But, now we've seen our survey results, we know that's not what you want.

You don't want Miami - you want Midwest.

You don't want disco - you want down-to-earth.

And you don't want bunnies - you want beef (though, of course, you'd rather look at young calves than old steers!)

In fact, what you want, summed up in a perfectly formed single package, is today's new HMBoy, William.

Now, when I said that young William is a down to earth boy, you'll no doubt have thought that I was just using a figure of speech.

Not so.

William sure is a down to earth boy - but literally.

You see, he just loves working in the garden.

In fact, he's hoping to move to England in a few months time in order to enrol as a student at a well known horticultural college.

"I just love plants", he tells us.

"And I get a real buzz when I see one growing well with my help."

(We've heard that line before, William, though it's not usually plants being talked about at the time!)

Showing us around his best specimens, William explains that his appearance here on HMBoys.com will help raise the money he needs for his air fare to England.

"The obvious thing to do would be to sell some of my plants", he says.

"But, even if I won't be seeing them for months at a time while I'm away, I couldn't do it.

"Then I thought of offering my services as a gardener to raise some cash.

"But the guys who hired me - and, weirdly enough, it was always guys - wanted a lot more than their lawns seeded."

So here is William, posed, at his own suggestion in his favourite corner of the garden.

"And you know what?" he adds.

"I'll probably be the only guy who sees these pics and is looking at the plants!"
